Care &
maintenance.

Lighting asks very little of you. Here is the little it asks.

01

Routine cleaning

  • Switch the fixture off and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth. Dust on a diffuser reduces light output more than most people expect.
  • Avoid solvents, abrasive cleaners and alcohol-based sprays — they can haze diffusers and dull painted or brass finishes.
  • Never spray liquid directly onto a fitting. Apply it to the cloth instead.
02

Keeping performance up

  • Because the technology is activated by the light, a clean diffuser matters. Wiping dust away every few months keeps both light output and effect at their best.
  • Do not paint over, cover or apply film to any part of a fitting.
03

Decorative lamps

  • Glass shades can be cleaned with a lint-free cloth and a little warm water. Dry fully before switching on.
  • Brass and metal finishes should be dusted dry. Metal polish is not recommended — it can strip the finish.
  • Timber bases should be kept dry and out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
04

Electrical safety

  • Hard-wired fittings should be installed and serviced by a licensed electrician.
  • Do not use a fitting with a damaged cable, cracked diffuser or loose housing. Take it out of service and contact us.
  • Use only within its rated environment — vapor-rated fittings for damp and dusty areas, standard fittings indoors and dry.
05

If something is not right

  • Flickering, dimming or discolouration usually points to a driver or supply issue rather than the LEDs themselves. Contact us with the product and order number and we will help diagnose it.
